1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
See, feel and touch the spirit of Christmas.
Drop in to Fairlawn from 1:00 to 4:00 pm for a chance to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of ancient Bethlehem, around the time that Jesus was born.
There will be food, storytelling, crafts, wood-working and much more for kids and adults of all ages! Wander around different stalls and use your imagination to be transported into the Christmas story!
All are welcome, no need to have a church background or any particular beliefs. This is simply a fun, all-ages event to explore the Christmas story together, provided by a warm, progressive community that is affirming of diverse beliefs, LGBTQ community, ideas of all kinds.
Volunteers are needed for the Bethlehem Market to make it a success for the children. We need volunteers of all ages to facilitate activities (in costume — which we will provide!) You can design a stall, find props, read stories, help with woodworking, prepare food and help to transform our building into something resembling Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth! We need to borrow large pieces of fabric and tents (particularly the kind without side walls that are often used at farmers’ markets, or as sunshades.) The Bethlehem Market will only be possible with involvement from many people.
Please let the Spirit Space Team know if you can help!
