The sorters welcome your gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and records for Fairlawn’s Annual Book Sale.
Location: Donations may be placed on a cart in the main lobby until early April.
What we can accept: We value your contributions and greatly appreciate all books that are in saleable condition – clean, not musty smelling, mouldy or ripped. No musty or mouldy items please (these belong in your municipal recycling bin.)
What NOT to bring: Unfortunately, we cannot accept atlases, dictionaries, encyclopedias, magazines, Reader’s Digest condensed books, textbooks, cassettes, videotapes, or musty items.
How to package your books: Please pack books carefully in boxes rather than plastic grocery bags to ensure pages and covers remain flat.
Let us know: If you are dropping off a large donation, contact Kevin Resaul our property manager in advance at ac.de1556243339tinue1556243339uneva1556243339nwalr1556243339iaf@n1556243339ivek1556243339
In this highly anticipated book, Former FBI Director James Comey writes for the first time about his role in the historic 2016 election and its aftermath.
Full Disclosure by Beverley McLachlin. From the former Chief Justice of Canada comes a riveting thriller starring Jilly Truitt, a rising, young defense attorney faced with a case that hits close to home. A searing look at what justice means in the courts and on the streets, Full Disclosure is perfect for fans of Kathy Reichs, Louise Penny, and Lisa Scottoline.
Why Young Men – Rage, Race and the Crisis of Identity by Jamil Jivani. Powerfully moving and refreshingly clear-eyed, Why Young Men is a brilliant exploration of race, class, hopelessness, and why all too many young men turn to radicalization and violence. This book is a must-read for anyone who cares about solving one of the most important problems of our day.
We are looking for volunteers for the Book Sale. Volunteer for one or more shifts, and have fun helping out! It’s fun to volunteer for a shift, enjoy camaraderie with your neighbours, and help ensure the success of the book sale.
See if there is a task and time suitable for you. Thanks for helping out!
