Help raise $10,000 to create 10 camping experiences this summer at Camp Scugog!
Help in other ways
Don’t miss the opportunity to support Camp Scugog by donating and purchasing home baking, preserves and whatever else the congregation cooks up.
To contribute goodies to the S’More than Delicious Bake Sale, contact Sandy Giles or Marlene Jones using the form below, or sign up during coffee hour at our Scugog table April 9, 16, 23 and 30.
No time to bake? We welcome monetary donations. Talk to Peter Heinz at Coffee Hour if you have any questions.
You may donate in one of four ways to make a financial donation:
Donate $20 and receive 4 greeting cards with our thanks
These lovely greeting cards, with envelopes, display photographs of nature, scenery, flowers and wildlife, and are blank inside. Proceeds go to the Scugog Fund.
Please select any 4 greeting cards as our “thank-you” for your donation of $20 to the Scugog Fund – while supplies last.

This year we’re planning to make it easy for all to experience Camp Scugog by having bus transport from Fairlawn to Camp Scugog and back. Bus departs from Fairlawn at 9:00 am sharp! We depart Scugog at 4:00 pm.
All ages and abilities are welcome and lunch will be served at Camp Scugog. We’ll also have a tour of the camp, do a bit of work and get to know some of the staff, many of whom are former campers.
Fairlawn Youth will participate in the Camp Cleanup Day and will be raising funds to support Camp Scugog in the process. They will be seeking sponsors for their cleaning efforts. Before a hard day’s work, the youth will camp overnight at Camp Scugog along with Camp Scugog Leaders-in-Training, a few guitars and likely s’mores.
All youth participants please signup with Daniel Reed, or talk to us at Coffee Hour on the following Sundays: April 9, 16, 23, 30 and May 7.
In 2017, Fairlawn will be fundraising to support a minimum of 10 camping experiences. At $1,000 each, that sets our fundraising goal at 10K$. The gift of camp helps change lives by providing children, youth and mothers with an escape from the city and the opportunity to experience joy as well as growth through new experiences and challenges. Camp Scugog is designed to address the needs of new Canadians and those affected by poverty and other barriers.
As Dana Leahey, Camp Director has said, “It’s the people like you that make Camp Scugog such an incredible place. Without your ongoing support, our special place on the shores of Lake Scugog would not be possible.”
