Prayer Shawl Ministry
These volunteers knit beautiful soft Prayer Shawls which are given to people suffering emotionally or physically or to celebrate special occasions—any time there is a need. Prayer Shawls are knit with thoughts of kindness and prayers, and are given out with a note explaining the gift to each recipient.
If you would like to knit a prayer shawl, or if you would like to recommend a prayer shawl recipient,

More chances to knit at Fairlawn
Fairlawn is blessed with many active knitters, and we’re always open to novice knitters joining us for fellowship and even some help with their knitting!
There are several activities on the go in addition to the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Join one or all of these knitting endeavors:
Knitting & Crocheting Group
Expert knitters and novices and everything in between are invited to join this group that meets offsite twice a month, usually at 2:00 pm. Bring your knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlework, or whatever you are working on.

Knitted Warmth of Hats and Scarves for Regent Park
Attention Fairlawn Knitters: We are knitting hats and scarves for adults in Regent Park. The pattern is simple and the yarn is fun and colourful!
We will supply the yarn and will be delighted to organize the shipment of the finished products to the Clothing program at 40 Oaks.
