Photos of the 100th Anniversary Church Service
Welcome to 1915 at Bedford Park Methodist Church!
On Sunday March 8 we experienced a re-enactment of the 1915 Methodist church service as part of our 100th Anniversary. The church service and music were from World War I era when the congregation was founded.
Our 1915 special guest preacher was “Rev. Robert Telfer”, a Methodist minister from Hazel Bluff Alberta (north of Edmonton) who ministered there when Fairlawn first began in 1915. Rev. Telfer mercifully shortened his usual 50-minute sermon for us.
The ladies were resplendent in long dresses, big hats and gloves; the men sported mustaches, top hats, and parted their hair down the middle.
