Sunday, Apr. 4, 2021 until Apr. 23, 2021
Earth Day is coming up on April 22. Let’s see how much the North Toronto Cluster (NTC) of United Churches can do together for the environment, while having a bit of fun. To help get us started, NTC’s Green Committee has developed a new game: Earth Day Bingo!
The object of the game is for each person in your family to do as many of the activities on the Bingo card as they can by Earth Day – Thursday, April 22. Then, on Friday, April 23, report your family’s activities by 5:00 p.m. Before Earth Day, we’ll provide a link in Greetings! to the form that’s easy to fill in.
Everyone Gets A Card
Download a copy of the Earth Day Bingo card here for each member of your family to complete. Every square has internet links to a website that can help you complete your activities. Just click on the underlined words!
Keep Track of All the Squares Each Person Covers
Try to cover each square by completing that activity by April 22. When you complete your card, count everything you already do plus the new activities that you try. See how many squares each member of your family can cover on their card!
Come up with your own new habit to help reduce your impact on the environment in order to cover the Free Square in the centre of the card. There’s a terrific link to some great ideas on that square.
Report Your Family’s Accomplishments
Keep track of the squares that each family member has covered so you can report your family’s accomplishments by 5:00 p.m., Friday April 23 . It’s all on the honour system.
Let’s See How Much We Can Do for Our Planet – God’s Creation!
We’ll celebrate the total for each of the activities that all of NTC’s members have completed in our churches the following week.
Now go forth and have fun saving the earth: one small change at a time!
