During the past eight years, Fairlawn’s congregation has generously supported Camp Scugog time, talent, and donations. This year, we’d like to thank you for supporting the camp’s COVID-19 special programming with contributions of $9,060, to date. This will help the camp to keep its community intact during the spring, and likely summer, of 2020 with wellness-focused support programming.

Camp Scugog typically offers summer camp programming to children, youth, and mothers affected by poverty. For many Camp Scugog participants, camp is one of the few constants in their lives. The relationships they form there serve as lifelines during these difficult times.

Camp Scugog COVID-19 Program 

Camp Scugog staff are working hard during COVID-19 restrictions to keep the spirit of Camp Scugog alive for kids and their families by offering the following alternate programming:

• Bi-weekly “tea time” Zoom MeetUps for moms to provide a time of community, 
• One-on-one weekly phone calls with moms to promote mental wellness, and
• Daily challenges and check-ins to encourage a healthy lifestyle for Leadership Program participants and Junior staff.
