Poverty Reduction

Poverty can quickly happen to anyone. Having a “basic income”, similar to the federal government’s current Canadian Emergency Relief Benefit (CERB) or a “universal basic income”, would help to address Canada’s inequities.

The City of Toronto has reduced some over-crowding in its shelter system by acquiring added space. Some of this added space in north Toronto has caused strife in the neighbourhood. But, what will happen to the occupants after the virus is controlled?
