This year, we have new ways for you to share with:
Roehampton Basket Drive
When Roehampton residents move into permanent housing, they often arrive with only the clothes they are wearing, without the basic items needed to make their house feel like a home.
Recognizing this challenge, and partnering with other churches in the United Church’s North Toronto Cluster, Fairlawn is running a drive to collect home items – such as dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, cleaning materials, sheets, and grocery gift cards– to create “welcome home” baskets.
Now that the lockdown is over, we can receive the items that you have collected to donate to people moving out of the Roehampton shelter. Please bring them to Fairlawn and put them in the bin between the church’s west doors on:
If you need a reminder of the list of items that we are looking for, please check the Roehampton Basket Drive sign-up page.
Thank you for sharing your love with our Roehampton neighbours!
Love Your Neighbour
We love our neighbours by sharing. Many of us have things in our closets that those less fortunate than us would appreciate having.
We can love our neighbours by delivering our surplus “stuff” to our partners for re-loving.
