In order to cover that amount and level of music\, often with a minimum of rehearsal time\, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. \nPractice is weekly on Thursday evenings.

This outdoor carol sing and lighting of the nativity crèche helps us mark the first Sunday of Advent in our North Toronto community. \nThe carol songsheet (COMING SOON!) can be accessed on your phone and hot chocolate will be served. \nWe invite you to support Fairlawn’s Annual Red Door Holiday Gift Drive with donations of new unwrapped gifts for children to age 13\, new children’s winter clothing (coats\, snowpants\, boots\, hats\, scarves and mittens)\, grocery gift cards or cash donations.

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, November 16 during worship service\, our Embrace Action Refugee team will introduce the Alshabaan family and after service at 12:30pm our Explore Spirituality team present the next installment of our ES series: The Music of Talk with Tom Allen. \nBetween these events from 11:30am – 12:15pm\, we will have a special Coffee Hour that will include a light lunch prepared by Jessica Baugniet and Cynthia Gratias for those staying for the ES Series The Music of Talk with Tom Allen and Middle Eastern themed snacks\, organized by Kathleen Magladry\, to enjoy while there is the opportunity to meet and speak with the Alshabaan family. \nAs special dishes are being prepared for the light lunch\, we are asking that people RSVP with your intention to attend this Coffee Hour by sending an email to rsvp@fairlawnavenueunited.ca with the subject Nov 16 Lunch and in the body of the email indicate the names of  the people you are RSVPing for. DESCRIPTION:JANUARY 15\, 2026 ->  Due to the winter storm and to ensure the safety of all\, Choir has been cancelled this evening. \nThe Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members\, including an 8-member professional core. \nThe Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service\, and are responsible for an introit\, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music\, often with a minimum of rehearsal time\, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. \nPractice is weekly on Thursday evenings.
