SUMMARY:Zoom Fairlawn Affirm Ministry IDOP Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Day of Pink 2026: ECHO TourFairlawn Avenue United Church28 Fairlawn Avenue\, TorontoSaturday\, April 11\, 2026 at 2:00pm \n \n \n \n Echoes of Resistance. Echoes of Recognition. Echoes of Change. \n \n \n \n Fairlawn Avenue United Church is proud to host the only public GTA event celebrating International Day of Pink for the fourth year on Saturday\, April 11 at 2:00pm. This year’s ECHO Tour brings together powerful storytellers and activists to reflect on the 25th anniversary of two landmark moments in queer and trans Canadian history – the Supreme Court censorship victory by Little Sisters Book Store and the Modernizations of Benefits and Obligations Act\, which recognized same sex couples in federal law. These moments are powerful echoes. Echoes that still resonate in our lives\, our rights and our dignity. They remind us that our stories are not silent. They live\, they vibrate\, they inspire. Featured speakers and performers include Rev. Dr. Cheri DiNovo\, author AJ Dolman\, CBC’s Chris Glover and drag star Katinka Kature. Please wear pink for inclusion and join us for an afternoon of poetry\, music\, conversation\, reflection\, and truth-telling. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n International Day of Pink \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n International Day of Pink has one purpose\, to create a more inclusive and diverse world.
