DESCRIPTION:“Making Sweet Things Happen” for Camp Scugog ~ Camp Scugog Sunday and CraftShack \nThis Sunday\, May 3 is Camp Scugog Sunday at Fairlawn! Please come to hear from a first-time camper who went to Camp Scugog last summer thanks to the generosity of Fairlawners just like you! You can also purchase some “sweet things” from the “Making Sweet Things Happen” Baking and Craft Sale during Coffee Hour. There will be delicious baking\, Kathryn Cullen’s beautiful cards and hand-made soaps\, Derek Wishart’s homemade candles as well as some special Mother’s Day Brunch bundles. \nWe invite you to join us Sunday mornings at 10:30am for a meaningful time of worship and community. The service are delivered by Rev. Jean Ward; Rev. He has a background in digital media\, technology training\, and delivers workshops and presentations on technology\, social media\, and digital tools\, helping people understand technology in a simple and practical way. Join us and learn how Al works and how to turn your ideas into pictures. DESCRIPTION:COMET: A Drop-in Program for 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth \nCOMET (Come Out & Meet Each Tuesday) is a free after-school drop-in program for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-18 in North Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Questioning youth and allied friends are also welcome. \nCOMET program activities include arts and crafts\, games\, cooking\, creative workshops\, and more. SUMMARY:Fairlawn Senior Choir Practice
DESCRIPTION:JANUARY 15\, 2026 ->  Due to the winter storm and to ensure the safety of all\, Choir has been cancelled this evening. \nThe Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members\, including an 8-member professional core. \nThe Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service\, and are responsible for an introit\, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music\, often with a minimum of rehearsal time\, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. \nPractice is weekly on Thursday evenings.
