    The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. The Senior Choir practice weekly on Thursday evenings at 7:15pm – 9:00pm in the Sanctuary.

    Online Prayer Vigil

    This week our Friday prayer vigil for Gaza will be a pre-recorded online moment. Cam will offer three prayers, you will be able to pause for your own silence between them. Access the vigil on our YouTube channel at 6:30pm (or at any time after that, whatever fits your schedule). When you do come, you may want to have a candle or lamp burning nearby to help center your prayers.

    Daylight saving time will end on Nov. 5, at 2:00am, when the clocks are set back one hour. Typically, daylight saving time starts on the second Sunday of March, and ends on the first Sunday in November.

On the first Monday morning of each month (September - June), the Men’s Group meet for a time of friendship and discussion. The wide-ranging conversations offer men a chance to discuss issues of mutual interest. We offer space for Fairlawners, friends and neighbours to share in prayers and readings, to bear witness to the lives lost, and for the hope of peace.
