We will gather Sundays summer worship starting June 29 through August 31 at 10:30am in the Assembly Hall with Rev. Dr. Cameron Watts; inspiring music by Eleanor Daley, Director of Music; Guest Pianist Doreen Uren Simmons; and Fairlawn Avenue Senior Choir section lead soloists. Doors will open at 10:00am with cold beverages available before, during and after service. Reminder – the Assembly Hall is cooler than our Sanctuary, but is not air conditioned, so we encourage you bring your own cup or water bottle and fill up on lemonade or iced tea!

The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Senior Choir sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music, often with a minimum of rehearsal time, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. Practice is weekly on Thursday evenings, September through May.

We have 2 women’s spirituality groups where women meet monthly to contemplate life’s questions and support each other. Women’s Spirituality Group II meet in-person the third Tuesday of each month (September – June) from 1:00pm – 2:30pm in the Chapel. Please note, on accasion, the group meet off-site. Pastoral Visitation Team Meeting Our pastoral visitation ministry provides support and compassion for those who may occasionally experience difficulty in their lives and supports our senior members when they can no longer regularly attend church. We send cards and flowers and keep them connected to Fairlawn through phone calls and personal visits.
