Fairlawn Avenue United Church
Special Music
Lent II
Sunday, March 1, 2026
Rev. Jean Ward and Rev. Nigel Weaver Presiding
Eleanor Daley, Director of Music
Sunday, March 1 at 10:30am, the Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue with Eleanor Daley, Director of Music presented Requiem by John Rutter with Chamber Orchestra.
John Rutter’s Requiem is a tender and luminous choral work that speaks gently of loss, hope, and peace. Blending ancient Latin texts with English psalms, its flowing melodies and warm harmonies offer comfort and quiet beauty. Rather than mourning alone, this Requiem invites listeners into a space of rest, remembrance, and healing.
Please enjoy the liturgy and readings from this special service and join us for our next Special Music service in Advent 2026 to experience the music live.
Our Special Music services, as with all service music from Eleanor Daley, Director of Music and the Fairlawn Senior Choir cannot be captured at the audio quality standard we require so we choose not to record and publish music and singing from our worship services.
We know these recordings of services are an important way for many to stay connected with the life of the congregation, and we appreciate your understanding. We remain committed to sharing services online whenever we are able to do so with the level of quality you expect.
Thank you for your grace and continued support.
