International Day of Pink ~ IDOP ECHO

Fairlawn’s Affirm Ministry proudly host the International Day of Pink Tour for the fourth year!
IDOP’s 2025 campaign theme is ECHO, honouring two landmark anniversaries in 2SLGBTQIA+ history:
- 25th anniversary of Little Sisters Book and Art Emporium v. Canada, a pivotal Supreme Court decision on freedom of expression and equality;
- 25th anniversary of the Modernization of Benefits and Obligations Act, which extended legal benefits to same-sex couples.
Speakers:
- AJ Dolman is a writer, editor, and longtime advocate for bisexual visibility and mental health, whose work bridges storytelling and activism to support bi/pan+ communities and LGBTQIA+ human rights across Canada and beyond.
- Khashayar “Kess” Mohammadi (they/them) is a queer Iranian-born poet, writer, and translator based in Toronto, whose acclaimed and prolific work spans original and translated poetry, with multiple award nominations and forthcoming titles from presses across Canada and the U.S.
