Don your winter woollies and come to the lawn of the church for Carols Around the Crèche on Sunday, November 27 from 4:45pm - 5:15pm. This outdoor carol sing and lighting of the Fairlawn Christmas Crèche will help us mark the first Sunday of Advent in our North Toronto Community. Bring your cell phone to access the carol song sheet and a mug for hot chocolate. We invite you to support Fairlawn's Annual Red Door Holiday Gift Drive with a donation.

    REGISTRATION ENDS TODAY! Come and enjoy a meal of tasty pancakes with friends right after church. The lunchtime offering includes your choice of plain, blueberry, chocolate chip or gluten-free pancakes, fresh fruit salad and coffee/tea/juice at a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family of four. All monies raised will go to Fairlawn's Refugee Sponsorship Fund as we have three cases in the pipeline, with the first case (hopefully) arriving in the first quarter of 2023. Cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay will be accepted at the door. Please register by Feb. 16

You are invited to join Jean Ward in a four-week exploration of how our northern spirits are shaped by the rhythm of our seasons – in particular, winter and its movement into spring. Through the use of music, poetry, readings and, of course, our collective wisdom, we will journey towards spring together. “Wintering brings about some of the most profound and insightful moments of our human experience, and wisdom resides in those who have wintered.” Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED Online Monday evenings – March 6, 13, 20 & 27 – 7:30–9:00pm

    Coffee, tea and cookies will be available in the sanctuary following the service and we encourage you to bring your owen mug! A signup sheet will be on the coffee table for volunteers to select dates to assist. Each week, a three-person team will arrive at 10:00am to set up, attend the service and be finished cleaning up by 12:30pm. Easy-to-follow instructions are posted in the kitchen. Coffee hour provides an important opportunity for people to connect with one another, welcome guests and feel part of Fairlawn.

    The Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters meet the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm to 2:00pm online to knit and chat. Prayer shawls are offered to Fairlawn members, family and friends in need of support and comfort, or to celebrate a special occasion. The knitters work on their own time on these cozy, warm shawls that serve as a tangible reminder that one is not alone.
