We have 2 women’s spirituality groups where women meet monthly to contemplate life’s questions and support each other. Women’s Spirituality Group II meet in-person the third Tuesday of each month (September – June) from 1:00pm – 2:30pm in the Chapel. Please note, on accasion, the group meet off-site. COMET: A Drop-in Program for 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth COMET (Come Out & Meet Each Tuesday) is a free after-school drop-in program for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-18 in North Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Questioning youth and allied friends are also welcome. COMET program activities include arts and crafts, games, cooking, creative workshops, and more. Dinner and snacks are provided at no cost. When? Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Where? 28 Fairlawn Ave., Toronto, ON West off Yonge St., a 7-minute walk north from Lawrence TTC Station. Participants are invited to use the west accessible main lobby entrance to access the Assembly Hall downstairs. Why? Because every queer and questioning youth needs a fun and safe place to be themself. What is COMET All About? The program provides youth who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community a safe and welcoming place to gather, eat a nutritious meal, participate in programming through partner organizations, or just come by to hang out

JANUARY 15, 2026 -> Due to the winter storm and to ensure the safety of all, Choir has been cancelled this evening. The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music, often with a minimum of rehearsal time, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. Practice is weekly on Thursday evenings.
Worship service at Fairlawn Avenue United Church are on Sunday mornings in our Sanctuary with Rev. Dr. Cameron Watts, Eleanor Daley, Director of Music and the Fairlawn Avenue Senior Choir. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, in our post-service Coffee Hour in the sanctuary. Coffee Hour provides an important opportunity for people to connect with one another, Experience Belonging, welcome visitors and guests, and feel part of Fairlawn. If you’d like to revisit any of our worship services, curated musical offerings and service bulletins, they are posted online on our website worship page.
Coffee Hour after Sunday worship – Experience Belonging Ministry Every Sunday following worship service, coffee, tea and cookies are served in the sanctuary. Coffee hour provides an important opportunity for people to connect with one another, welcome guests and feel part of Fairlawn. Each week, a two-person team will arrive at 10:00am to set up, attend the service and finish cleaning up by 12:30pm. Easy-to-follow instructions are posted in the kitchen. Breast Friends – Cancer Support Group Women who have breast cancer, or have survived it, meet the fourth Monday of the month (September - June) on Zoom from 10:30am to 11:30am for information sharing, encouragement, fitness ideas and some fun social events. The group provides a supportive environment with women who understand this journey. It is open to anyone from the church or community who would like to join.
