Seniors Space Part of the developing Vision for Fairlawn is to create safe and stimulating and fun space for Seniors in our Community of Faith and in the community. We will be offering programs for conversations about politics and other pressing concerns, and development of gifts and spirituality through workshops, for example on personal photography: What do you notice and what do you want to convey through a photo?
JANUARY 15, 2026 -> Due to the winter storm and to ensure the safety of all, Choir has been cancelled this evening. The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music, often with a minimum of rehearsal time, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. Practice is weekly on Thursday evenings.

Spread the word! Grab your kids, grandkids, friends and neighbours and join us on the lawn of the church for Carols Around the Crèche on Sunday, November 30 at 4:45pm to 5:30pm. This outdoor carol sing and lighting of the nativity crèche helps us mark the first Sunday of Advent in our North Toronto community. The carol songsheet (COMING SOON!) can be accessed on your phone and hot chocolate will be served. Men’s Group: Please note - the meeting on Easter Monday, April 6'26 (Statutory Holiday) has been rescheduled one week later on Monday, April 13. On the first Monday morning of each month (September - June), the Men’s Group meet for a time of friendship and discussion. The wide-ranging conversations offer men a chance to discuss issues of mutual interest.
