Fairlawn Senior Choir Practice
JANUARY 15, 2026 -> Due to the winter storm and to ensure the safety of all, Choir has been cancelled this evening. The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30 am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. In order to cover that amount and level of music, often with a minimum of rehearsal time, choristers must have singing experience and excellent music/sight-reading skills. Practice is weekly on Thursday evenings.

International Day of Pink ~ ECHO
International Day of Pink 2026: ECHO Tour ~ April 11 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Fairlawn Avenue United Church is proud to host the only public GTA event celebrating International Day of Pink for the fourth year on Saturday, April 11 at 2:00pm. This year’s Day of Pink ECHO Tour brings together powerful storytellers and activists to reflect on the 25th anniversary of two landmark moments in queer and trans Canadian history – the Supreme Court censorship victory by Little Sisters Book Store and the Modernizations of Benefits and Obligations Act, which recognized same sex couples in federal law. These moments are powerful echoes. Echoes that still resonate in our lives, our rights and our dignity. They remind us that our stories are not silent. They live, they vibrate, they inspire. Featured speakers and performers include: Dr. Cheri DiNovo Author AJ Dolman CBC’s Chris Glover Drag star Katinka Kature To learn more and register for this free event, visit https://www.fairlawnchurch.ca/dayofpink/
