Scot will share the best times and misadventures during his career of trying to interpret other peoples' stories. Tuesday, April 14 2:00pm - 4:00pm Gary Schlee, for more than a decade, shared local history stories in Fairlawn’s Community Life newspaper. He will takes us on a virtual tour that explores present-day parts of the ‘hood’ and what was there in earlier times. Together, we will “flash back” to when the neighbourhood had a toll gate, Loblaws was on the west side of Yonge, Melrose boasted an impressive pillared entranceway, there was a bridge alongside Blessed Sacrament School, and Fairlawn held services in a barroom. Wednesday, April 29 2:00pm - 4:00pm Our guest speaker, Ebrahim Alia, Program Coordinator Rainbow Seniors at Lansing United, is a technology specialist. He has a background in digital media, technology training, and delivers workshops and presentations on technology, social media, and digital tools, helping people understand technology in a simple and practical way.
