Welcome Back BBQ
FeaturedFairlawn Avenue United Church 28 Fairlawn Avenue, Toronto, Toronto, CanadaPLEASE NOTE: Due to the weather forecast and out of concern for everyone’s comfort and safety, the BBQ will be held in the Assembly Hall. There has been a significant increase in wasp activity on the front lawn, and with food being served, we want to avoid creating an additional nuisance and, most importantly, help ensure no one gets stung. Join us for a BBQ with hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, drinks & desserts (gluten-free and vegetarian options available) after worship service to reconnect after the summer break. Interested in volunteering to prepare food, set tables or provide a side dish or dessert? Congregational Meeting 2: Post-service Community of Faith Profile Information & Discussion and Congregational Vote
FeaturedFairlawn Avenue United Church 28 Fairlawn Avenue, Toronto, Toronto, CanadaOur 2022 Living Faith Story included a “pathway to a vision” that focused on two potential new ministry focus areas, an Enhanced Affirm Ministry for Youth and a Seniors’ Ministry. Significant progress has been made in supporting queer youth; support for seniors is in its infancy but being built on a solid foundation. We will provide an update on the work that has been done to date and confirm with you that these two new ministries form part of our Vision for the future. This will be a duly constituted congregational meeting where we will vote to ensure we agree upon this path forward. Time permitting, we may also break into groups for deeper discussions about specific topics based on congregational feedback. We welcome everyone to join us in person or via Zoom. Zoom details to follow - watch this space. For those attending in-person, lunch will be provided.
